August in a cosmic celebrity nutshell…
How was your July? Full of personal and business ups and
downs? Keep it in mind that Mercury, the planet of clear and
concise thinking and communication was out of phase in Cancer
July 4-11 and then in Leo July 11-29. So whatever could go
wrong definitely did and we saw time and time again how celebs
crumbled under the pressure.
Cancerian Pam Anderson reportedly
tied the knot with Capricorn Kid Rock July
29 – but who knows? They have been on and off for years
now and have been engaged before. Mercury retrograde bought
them together (they reunited July 4th in St Tropez while Mercury
was out of phase in Cancer) and it could be all over by now.
Or they could be happily married working on their first baby…Cancer
women tend to take their men back 3 times – so this
might be the final time for Kid to get his goat act together!
Aries/Taurus cusper Carmen Electra and
her hubby Gemini Dave Navarro announced
their split, while Aquarian Christie Brinkley’s
hubby Peter Cook was caught out
having a torrid affair with a 19 year old (ouch!) Leo Hilary
Swank’s drug and alcohol abuse charges
against husband Capricorn Chad Lowe made
headlines, while Leo actress Kate Beckinsale and
her hubba hubba hubby Pisces Len Wiseman are
reportedly on the rocks. All this during Mercury retrograde
– it will be interesting to see if things get back on
track in August when the dust settles and Venus and Mercury
take up residence in Leo through the last 2 weeks of August.
I found it fascinating being in Melbourne and seeing all
the football dramas unfold involving Cancers – both
Mel Michaels and Michael
Gardiner are Cancers and both had a weird month
– Mel Michael (Brisbane Lions) decided he couldn’t
play due to personal issues, while Pisces teammate Jason
Akermanis went online on his website and blabbed
about these personal issues. West Coast Eagles big man Michael
Gardiner went out for a big night July 17 and drove himself
home intoxicated, crashing his car into 2 other cars on the
way home. He has now been dropped from the Eagles list, as
has Aker from the Brisbane Lions list, so Mercury retrograde
did his very best didn’t he?
Now to August. August brings with it a nice mix of earth,
water and fire energy all month long, but nothing air oriented
except of course the powerful and elusive energy of the Full
Moon August 9 in Aquarius. Air sign celebrities will end something
around this time. So if Christie’s hubby is hoping for
reconciliation, he’s fresh out of luck. No more dragging
it out or being indecisive for Libran and Gemini celebs either.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the Spears/Federline
camp in August – she is a Sag, he’s an Aries (not
that you would know it) and with so much activity in Leo,
things are sure to get heated and if they make it through
to the end of August, it will be a very good sign for their
futures indeed.
The first half of August has Mercury and Venus in Cancer,
the sign of the nurturer. Scorpios Nick Lachey
and his hot new squeeze MTV’s Vanessa
Minnillo share the same birthday of November
9, and with so much planetary play in their spiritual zone,
don’t be surprised if engagement buzz surrounds these
two in August. The energy of Mars, the Sun and a New Moon
in Virgo later in the month is also a time when earth and
water signs decide to embark on something new. If Nick is
going to go solo with his career, what else but to marry an
MTV host? Purrfect!
What about those limelight loving Leos you ask? Leos are
the 5th sign of the zodiac – the sign ruled by the Sun
and the sign associated with romance, creativity and self-fulfillment.
They are symbolized by the lion and so many of them have lion
like features – Madonna and
Dermott Brereton could be brother
and sister with their strong lines in their face, strawberry
blond hair and pale skin. Bill Clinton has the lion look too
– as does Nathan Buckley, Jim Courier and
Geri Halliwell.
Madonna and J Lo seem
happily married to their Virgo men right now. I am surprised
J Lo hasn’t gotten pregnant as yet – rumours abound
when she appeared at a premier with grey hair (not dyeing
it perhaps due to a pregnancy?) but still nothing. The energy
of Mars, the passion planet and the planet of energy in Virgo
all month long is sure to have our Leo celebs paying far more
attention to their health and well-being. If there was ever
a time when the anorexics of Hollywood were going to admit
they are too thin and seek help, it will be in August. Virgo
Nicole Ritchie, Capricorn Kate
Bosworth and Aries Kiera Knightley
are the big 3 who are way too thin right now. August is their
cosmic wake up call – and let’s hope they start
to put on a bit of weight and fill out more. Bones are so
‘not in’.
