month, with the Sun in Cancer through July 22. Then we have
those eager Leos born right after the Sun leaves Cancer and
shines in its home sign of Leo the lion through August 23.

Quite an impressive list of celebs I think you’ll agree?
Amazing that Dan Brown and J.K.
Rowling are born within a month of each other
– a Cancer and a Leo – arguably the most well
known authors in the world right now. And the music business
is very well represented by Cancers – interesting how
Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson, Courtney Love,
Chris Isaak, 50 Cent and Huey Lewis have all
successfully had a singing and acting career simultaneously.
Lindsay Lohan &
Jessica Simpson are probably the most famous
people on the planet right now, right up there with Tom
Cruise – their every move monitored by
the press and tabloids.
Lindsay – our darling delinquent
as I delight in call her – is so watchable and intriguing
– very typical of Cancers – we can’t stand
to look away or blink for a moment. Princess Diana
is/was definitely the most famous Cancer ever.
She was mesmerizing – quiet, painfully shy, easily embarrassed
and ladylike, yet underneath her hair sprayed do and her conservative
clothing there was quite a little alley cat! Stories of her
many lovers and affairs continue on way after her unfortunate
death (a very violent death I might add). She almost bought
the royal family to their knees and destroyed whatever love
many of us had for the Monarchy. When she died, so did our
interest in the royals for the most part.
Jessica Simpson, for all the world
to see, was a virgin until her wedding night and daddy’s
little girl. Her shocking divorce from Scorpio hubby and ladies
man Nick Lachey is just the start of her coming out of her
Cancerian shell. Her rather risqué video for the Dukes
of Hazzards movie with the Daisy Duke shorts and bikini top
is just the start. Don’t be surprised if lurid tales
of her late night escapades come out – sooner than later.
Lindsay Lohan starred in The Parent Trap, playing twins and
beguiled us with her sweeter than honey persona (and let’s
face it – she can act). A far cry from the wild Lindsay
we know of today – complete with eating disorder, broken
hearts, dead beat dad and relationships and feuds with Hollywood’s
other young stars – including Paris Hilton,
Nicole Ritchie and Jessica Simpson.
The most important thing for Cancer celebs (and ‘normal’
people) is that they surround themselves with the right people.
I notice that Jessica Simpson is good friends with Pisces
Eva Longoria and Eva
Mendes – both Evas and both Pisces –
and both older and good influences on Jessica. Pisces and
Cancers have a natural repartee and support each other through
the good and bad times. Jessica’s sister Ashley is a
Libra – and not really in tune with Jessica’s
deep emotions and mood swings – they get along, but
not as well as she gets along with her Pisces friends.
Cancers are ruled by the Moon – the planet which changes
signs every 2-3 days. Jessica, Lindsay and all the Cancer
celebs out there, along with you regular run of the mill Crabs
are moody, intense, happy and sad all at the same time, sexy
yet frigid, crabby, loveable, emotional blackmailers, emotionally
raw, secretive, nosy, giving and generous, Indian givers…see
what I’m getting at? Whenever I see Pamela
Anderson interviewed, I am always amazed at
how quickly she talks. She is either a nervous wreck or needs
elocution lessons – she is a terrible interview and
usually talks about a whole lot of crap we’ve all heard
before. I think Cancer celebs have the art of saying a lot
but not really saying anything much at all down. Yet every
now and again, they will let you in. Lindsay Lohan has opened
up in interviews and talked about her eating disorder, her
father and it probably serves as therapy for her. (She then
seems to delight in denying she said any of it and blaming
the reporters for misinterpreting her).
Cross a Cancer and you will never be forgiven. Cancers are
swept under the carpet as being the sign of the mother, the
nurturer, but no one looks at what this means for them. They
are expected to run around looking after everyone else? From
what we’ve read, it certainly seems Lindsay,
Jessica, Missy Elliott have all provided very
nicely for their families. Jessica and Lindsay particularly
– their parents are their managers and their 15% looks
like it is very healthy figure! Lindsay’s mother looks
more like her sister – long blond hair, hot bod, fur
coats, Mercedes and designer clothing – a far cry from
what she looked like 10 years ago. As for Lindsay’s
father – Michael Lohan – this must be a huge cross
for Lindsay to bear. She wrote a very tell tale song about
her father which really spoke of her loss and her love for
her father – but she is better off without him right
now. Lindsay needs strong and supportive people around her
that ‘get her’ but aren’t trying to rip
her off. Because ripped off she will be. The funny thing about
Cancers is that they are amazingly generous. But they will
never let you forget it and often ask for stuff back. They
will give you a beautiful jumper or handbag and a few months
later will ask if they can have it back! It’s almost
like a test - to make sure you still have it for a start!
Usually they give you the crap they don’t want to wear
or use anymore!
As for male Cancers – what a tawdry lot! O
J Simpson, Mike Tyson, Bill Cosby, Gary Busey, David Hasselhoff,
George Michael, 50 Cent and Richard Lewis. Rapists,
murderers, adulterers, drug addicts, drug dealers and alcoholics
to name but a few of their many crimes. Tom Cruise
is a scientology addict – constantly fending off rumours
about his sexuality. George Michael has been arrested for
having sex in a bathroom with a cop and for being totally
high on drugs in his car – while Gary Busey,
Richard Lewis and David Hasselhoff are in and
out of rehab trying to clean up and reinvent themselves.
This is the sign of the mother? The nurturer? Cancers are
probably the most complex sign in the zodiac. They beguile
us and rope us in with their soft eyes, hair and emotional
wounds and yet it is all an act – they are as tough
as nails and love the fact that we all worry about them and
try to reach out to them and help them. They don’t need
our help!

The comings and goings this month is enough to give you
a cosmic head spin! And imagine in the entertainment world,
where drugs, eating disorders and alcoholism run rampant!
Didn’t I just mention all of these things and more?
Cancers and the entertainment world are a tough mix. And yet
Cancers are such toughies! Yet they seem to tug at our heart
strings more than any other group of celebs.
First of all, the forward motion of opportunistic and optimistic
Jupiter July 5 corresponds with the retrograde motion of Mercury,
so while it’s great Jupiter has finally got his act
together; it’s not so great that Mercury has decided
to take off for a holiday! There will a stubborn stronghold
happening in July…with the Sun in controlling Cancer
for most of the month not helping out one cosmic iota! Not
only will Cancerian celebs be in the news, but Scorpios and
Leos as well – unexpected marriages/divorces/baby news
and strange cosmic celebrity coincidences will happen too.
The light side of July is Venus in Gemini through the 19th.
As well as hurried separations and drama amongst our well
known faces, many of them will be flirting like mad and gossip
about extra marital affairs will leak. Flirting is okay really
– as long as that’s all it is. It’s good
for the ego and helps sooth dented egos and lets off steam
too. But under the watchful eye of hundreds of paparazzi,
TV cameras and reporters? Get a room dude!
Once the Sun moves into Leo July 22, we will start seeing
much more fiery and passionate clashes with our most prolific
set of celebs. There are more Leo celebs than any other –
they are ruled by the Sun and enjoy having the lights of the
cameras on them. The New Moon in Leo on the 25th is about
romance, self-fulfillment and creativity. Watch out for spontaneous
celeb weddings – Las Vegas style around this time. Or
hook ups between the most unlikely people.
Chances are Tom Cruise and Katie
Holmes will wed around the time of the New Moon
in Leo. Both have Moon in Leo and Tom has Venus in Leo. Plus
Mercury will be almost done with his retrograde activity by
then. They should wait until July 30 to be sure they don’t
wed during Mercury retrograde, but anytime after the New Moon
is a good time for their wedding.
