Librans are in the news everywhere you turn these days, from
Catherine Zeta Jones and her scary stalker story,
to Ashlee Simpson, sister of ditzy Jessica.
Ian Thorpe won gold at Athens, while Usher
stole the show at the MTV Music Awards a few weeks ago. Matt
Damon charmed everyone downunder with his no frills
persona and his genuine love for Australia. Avril Lavigne
and Hilary Duff continue to rake in the millions
with their teen appeal, while Barbara Walters
finally retires from her US TV persona at the grand old age
of 73 (which she turned September 25).
And with Jupiter, the planet of abundance and opportunity
transiting Libra through October 2005, there’s little wonder
Librans are in the news. Jupiter, alongside the Sun, Mars
and a solar eclipse in Libra throughout the month of October
means that Librans finally get their cosmic mojo back – and
that 2004 will end on a very high note indeed for people born
under the sign symbolized by the scales. Yes, you Librans
love peace and harmony, but underneath all that ‘do-gooder’
personality, there is a dark side that comes out every now
and again, despite all the best PR people in the world!
Hugh Jackman is the perfect example of a goody-two-shoes
Libra, as is Matt Damon, Will Smith
and Olivia Newton John. But throw in some anti-Libra
type Librans – Avril Lavigne (who was deemed rude when she
toured Australia recently), Simon Cowell (nasty
piece of work), rapper Eminem who doesn’t care
who he upsets with his rapping words and you get an idea of
the crazy way the scales tip when it comes to Librans and
their astrological strengths and weaknesses.
Expect some crazy stuff in October with celebrities born
under the sign of Libra. We haven’t heard the last of Catherine
Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas (another
Libra), and Catherine could announce she is pregnant with
their third child around the solar eclipse on October 14th.
Money woes for other Libras around the intense and money oriented
lunar eclipse October 28th makes headlines. Fashion designer
Donna Karan and previously bankrupt singer Toni
Braxton are both Librans who tend to live way beyond
their means and stories could come out about their debts.
Ralph Lauren is another fashion designer born
under the sign of Libra by the way – so fashion is definitely
a career for people born under the sign of Libra.
Librans are also often gay or bi-sexual and many of our celebrity
Librans have been put under the gay microscope – most notably
Hugh Jackman, Ian Thorpe, Ralph
Lauren, Sting, Guy Pearce,
Will Smith & Matt Damon. But
while none of these men have publicly come out and said they
were gay or bi-sexual, their pretty boy looks don’t help.
Venus, the goddess of beauty, rules Librans. So it makes sense
that Libran men are quite beautiful – which our celeb Libra
males certainly are! Plus, Libra males love their products
and their bathroom cupboards are chock full of toner, moisturizer
and after shave, plus they often get their chests waxed (and
other body parts) on a regular basis.
Libras are the most stylish sign in the zodiac, and Gwen
Stefani leads the pack with her sense of style and
her own designing aspirations – appropriately named L.A.M.B.
Serena Williams is another aspiring designer
and delights in titillating the crowds at tennis matches with
her ensembles and accessories. Naomi Watts is
another Libra with great fashion sense, as is Gwyneth
Paltrow and Monica Bellucci.
But there are Libra fashion disasters. Remember, this is
the sign of the scales, which tip back and forth, often between
fashion do’s and don’ts! Sharon Osbourne and
Sarah Ferguson are two Libras who have gotten
better looking as they got older. Sharon was quite frumpy,
as was Sarah, but with a little help and a lot of weight loss,
they have both blossomed, as have their bank accounts. Sarah
Ferguson will be back in the news in October or November,
with a hot new romance developing in New York, where she is
moving.
Interestingly, both of Sharon Osbourne’s kids – Kelly
and Jack are Scorpios, which explains their
drug and alcohol abuse. As we head into the end of October,
the Sun and Mercury move into Scorpio and put the spotlight
on early Scorpions, such as Julia Roberts and Bill Gates (both
born on the same day!). Winona Ryder, Gavin
Rossdale (married to Gwen Stefani) and Peter
Jackson from Lord of the Rings celebrate in October,
with the lunar eclipse on the 28th sure to bring them into
the public eye in a big way.
